We are primarily based in the GTA. But case dependent, we are open to travel! 

We encourage couples to take a minute to enjoy being engaged and talk to each other about how you see your dream wedding! Weddings are for both members of the couples and we believe it's important to be on the same page for the big ideas before booking. We suggest you wait anywhere from 30-60+ days before booking anything for your wedding after being engaged.  

BOOKING TIMELINES:
Nearly-Wed Assistant/Professional Bridesmaid: We suggest approximately 1 year out from the wedding date. This gives time to plan the Bachelor/ette/x party and wedding shower and for them to both take place. Depending on your ideas for both of these events, you may need to book sooner if you have a desired timeline or season when you want these to take place.  But this service can be booked last minute (e.g. <1month before wedding) recognizing scale of events may need to be smaller with shorter timeline.

Event Planning: We suggest 6 months to 1 year(+) before your event. This is dependent on the type and size of your event. A good rule of thumb: the more people you plan to invite to your event, the more time you will need to plan it.  Feel free to inquire about how early you should book! info@rootedevents.ca

Wedding Planning: We suggest a minimum of 1 year in advance of your desired date or time of year! There are a lot of moving parts to a wedding so the more time to plan the better. Many couples are booking 18 months - 2 years+ in advance. The reason for this is if you are planning on getting married at a more popular time of year a lot of vendors are very popular and book up really fast. To allow for the most stress free planning experience we suggest you book early!

Month-of Coordination: Even though this is called Month-of Coordination, it is advised you book approximately 1 year+ in advance. We know this might sound crazy but if you are planning on getting married in a more popular month, we may be booked if you only come to us a few months in advance. When inquiring for the Month-of service, we will meet for your free consultation to make sure we are the right fit for each other. If you then choose to go forward, you are locking in with us the date of your wedding as well as designated time throughout the month to be yours leading up to the big day. After booking we will then be in contact a few days before the designated "1 month out meeting" when we kick into high gear for your wedding!

Definitely not! We are not here to force anyone to comply with certain eco-friendly/sustainable options they are not comfortable with. We are here to help guide you to make the best choice for yourself and the event/wedding you are planning.  We are here to support you and will suggest options or alternatives you may not have thought of to help you be as sustainable as you choose to be. Events can have a huge ecological footprint and we are here to help you minimize yours as much as you are comfortable with. We want to make the earth happy, but our first goal is to make your event wonderful!

We wanted to make our services as inclusive as possible and not everyone is having "bridesmaids". A Nearly-Wed assistant is a gender neutral way of saying Professional Bridesmaid - someone hired to assist the "nearly-weds" in the pre-wedding events/planning that needs to be done before they become "newly-weds". 

Not at all! This service is open to anyone! Bride, Groom, family member or member of the wedding party!  This service is to support the couple and wedding party! 

This service allows the couple and wedding party to have some stress taken off of them in the planning of wedding events and other wedding obligations. Being in a wedding party can be a lot of work! As much as you love the people you have asked to stand up for you, they also have their own busy lives and may not be able to commit in the way you need.

Maybe the people you asked are too busy and you want someone who will be there for you when you need it most? Maybe yourself and/or your partner do not have any friends that live in the city or even the country and you need local help? Maybe your partner has 4 really close friends but you only have 3 and want to even the wedding party (YES, we have someone who can stand up beside you)? Maybe you have opted to only have 1 friend each for your wedding party but know you and them need extra help?  Maybe you are a family member and know how busy the couple is and want to offer this service as a wedding gift to help lessen the stress?  Or maybe you are in the wedding party yourself and you need help!?

What ever YOUR reason, this service will make the lead up to the wedding less stressful and allow you to enjoy the process more! 

Not if you do not want them to! We make up a back story with you to cover where we know each other from. So the only people who will know you hired someone to stand up with you are the people you want to know. 

Depending on the needs of you and your partner we will work with you to find the right fit.

A Month/Day-of Coordinator helps to take off some stress leading up to as well as on the wedding/event day itself! Many couples choose to plan their own wedding/event without the help of a planner but want to be able to enjoy the day when it comes and not worry about all the vendors arriving to the venue on time.  By hiring a Month/Day-of Coordinator allows you to relax in the days leading up to the wedding/event and really enjoy the day like you are supposed to!

No! The earlier you book the better! If you are planning on getting married/having your event in a more popular month we may be unavailable. It is advised you book approximately 1 year+ in advance. We will have your free consultation to make sure we are the right fit for each other.  Then if you choose to go forward, you lock in your wedding date and month with us. After booking we will then be in contact to set up your pre-event meeting times when we kick into high gear for your wedding/event!! 

A Wedding Planner is going to be with the couple for approximately a year or more leading up to the wedding. They are responsible for contacting vendors, doing site visits, keeping track of the budget, etc. Wedding planners are doing just that, planning the wedding with help from the couple to make sure their vision comes to life. 
A Month/Day-of Coordinator has had little to zero input into how the wedding was planned or any of the vendors chosen. Their main goal is to make sure the actual wedding day goes as smoothly as possible! 

Short answer is, YES! But within reason of course. We are open to all clients and all ideas, and hope we can make your event everything you could imagine. We are more than happy to be brought on board in the early stages of planning to help you! In our initial consultation, we can discuss the general idea you have of your event and see if we are a good fit to help you develop and execute the idea.

YES! This is exactly what we are here for! Even though some of us have been dreaming about our wedding day since we were 5 years old, some of us have never really thought about how we envision our wedding day to be. Do not panic if you have no idea what you want for your wedding day! Through our planning process, we will help you figure out what aspects of the wedding are most important to you and your partner. We will help develop a plan with you to make sure your wedding day is everything you want it to be even if you do not know what that is when we start planning! 

Definitely! We know many people have their wedding day all planned out but with life and work have no time to plan it themselves. This is where we come in to take your plan and make it reality! Maybe you have multiple different pinterest boards and have been planning out your wedding day since you were 5 years old? That is a great foundation to plan a wedding on! If you have a specific and detailed vision for your wedding day make sure you come to our meetings with everything! We want to know what you want so we can make sure we execute it properly. 

Not necessarily. We have some couples that want to be involved with everything but others who want to take more of a backseat to the planning process. Whatever you choose is fine as long as you understand that if you choose to take more of a backseat that there are certain choices that will still need your final sign off. But this can all be discussed in our consultation to figure out what works best. 

Of course! Maybe you already have a dream venue picked, maybe you want to get married in the church your family goes to, but maybe you have no idea what location you want? As a Wedding planner one of our jobs is securing the venue of your choice. That might mean just securing a date at a predetermined venue you have dreamed of, or helping you find a venue that is right for you!
